I must say that if you only get one utility for Windows this is the one to get. The program will pay for itself many many times over.
Being an engineer I have to manipulate text frequently and I have found ClipMate to be better than most of the standard editors out there. Plus it remembers your clips that you access again and again. - Erik Kurek, computerfurniture.com

Welcome to our September Newsletter, featuring news
about an upcoming ClipMate update, a security alert, good news for Mozilla/Firefox
users, a Special Offer, and as always, a ClipMate usage tip.
Newsletter Contents:
ClipMate 6.5 - Coming Soon!
Scheduled for shipping in Mid-October, ClipMate 6.5 adds Search &
Replace to the editor, including a "RegEx" option. And have you ever
wanted to paste a clip as plain text without all of the formatting that
often accompanies data copied from web pages and word processors? The
new "outbound clip filter" will allow you to easily paste any (non-graphic)
clip as plain text, without destroying the original HTML and Rich Text
formats. The beta team has it now, and it'll be available to you in a
couple of weeks.
Security Alert! "mxtarget.dll"
We've gotten 5 different reports this month of ClipMate filling up with
"garbage" URLs pointing to master.mx-targeting.com. The users had
already scanned with Ad-Aware and Spybot, to no avail. This is NOT a
ClipMate problem or bug, and ClipMate will start acting normally once you
remove the offending adware DLL. Here's a knowledgebase article that
will give you the latest info that we have:

FeedDemon by Bradbury Software
If you were the king of the world,
you wouldn't have to search the web looking for
interesting and relevant news articles - someone would
find them for you, present you with a list of headlines
and articles, and would fetch more info on the articles
that you want to learn more about.
With FeedDemon, it's like being
king of the world. It taps into "RSS Feeds" on
news sites, blogs, and forums to pull down the headlines
that you're interested in. Then just click to view
more, in the browser pane. Set up "watches" for
keywords that you're interested in. Be sure to
sign up for THIS newsletter as RSS!

Mozilla / Firefox - Source URL
When you copy HTML from Microsoft's Internet Explorer, ClipMate records the
"source URL" of the original clip, so that you have a record of where it
came from, and you can easily re-visit the original page. ClipMate
can't get the URL from Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape because the URL isn't
present in the data on the clipboard. But that's about to change.
David Gardner, a developer in Australia, is adding this capability to the
Mozilla project. It's not known when this code will make its way into the
released Mozilla "trunk", but it's definitely in the pipeline. We've
tested David's build, and it works well. We'll keep you updated with
this newsletter. To monitor yourself, here's the Bugzilla ticket:

ClipMate Tip - Backups
Make sure that you allow the backup to run occasionally
- check the option in Config | User Preferences | Databases.
While ClipMate can make the backups automatically, it
does NOT delete the old ones. Check your "my documents" directory (unless
you've directed the backups elsewhere), and you'll find backup files with names
like: ClipMate6_DB_My Clips_2004-09-27_2110.ZIP
That's the backup from September 27, 2004. Each
backup file is a self-contained copy of the entire database, and it does not
require earlier backups in order for you to restore. In other words, they're not
"incremental" or "delta" backups. So you can restore to any point in the
backup history, with a single file. You can delete any that you decide you
don't need.
Tip: You may want to keep one backup from
each month, quarter, or year, for archival purposes.
