I just have the standard default US English language pack installed in Windows. When I use an online translator to translate from English to Russian, and then copy the Russian to the Windows clipboard, I can copy the translated Russian characters into other applications directly from the Windows clipboard. (I'm sure you already know where I am going with this)

But in Clipmate the Russian just shows up as question marks. If I later try to reuse that clip, the only thing that it does is paste those question marks instead of the Russian characters like the Windows clipboard did.

Is this because CM doesn't support some types of characters that the Windows clipboard does? Is there any way to fix this?

Options and Settings - App Profile. For the applications in question, try unticking TEXT and tick UNICODETEXT instead.

It will not help ClipMate display the characters properly if the system doesn't have that particular character set, but it does seem to help ClipMate retain the proper characters (rather than ?'s) when they're pasted back into a UNICODE supported app.
