I think you're talking about the preview/edit window within ClipMate Classic.
To turn it on, see the View menu, Classic Options, Open/Close Viewer.

If it won't show, try doing a reset of all size/position/settings in Tools | Options | Advanced, then re-start ClipMate. Then use the menu option to show it again. It should show up.

Try the reset that I mentioned. The splitter bar in Explorer can get stuck. I'm making adjustments in the next build to compensate.
