When I try to copy a picture (usually a *.wmf), I get a sound that indicates the message "clipboard erased by another application". The other captures (e.g. text) pose no problems. I am using Clipmated 7.0.4 Build 121
Please advise me as to what to do.
Many thanks
Don Spady

Look in Tools | Application Profile, and look up the entry for the application where you are copying the pictures from. Turn on the Metafile data format. Now it should work.
If not, look at the status bar at the bottom of ClipMate Explorer, and see if it indicates why the item didn't capture.
