Im sorry but hevnt seen a Subforum like Help / or for newbs os so ;-).

Im not so good at english, so i dont know how to use the search...or beter i know, but i dont know what words to put in, sorry.

now my question:
is there a possibility to use clipmate in that way, that i can copy many words/clips in it, and then paste them with a shortcut to a new document?

the reason:
i have to apply for a new job and every firm is asking fpr the same but everybody has a new document to fill up. and it would be great just to know, ok my name ist for example strg+v+1, adress strg+v+2, curricullum strg+v+3 and so on...? do u understand me?

i have seen shortcuts under otions in clipmate, but i dont know how to use them, or for what they r good?

hope anybody can help me out

Mirres

/edit:
im sorry...its written in clipmate 6 section but i have clipmate 7 :-/
--> new here, sorry

Yes, you can do what you want.
I'd recommend making a new collection, call it "job search" or something.
Copy all relevant information in there.

Assign shortcuts to the various clips, using a hierarchy to help track down the various parts. You'll have address info, education, work history, and other things that apply to your line of work. For mine (computer programmer) I'd have computer hardware, software, computer languages, etc..

So I have this clip:

Graduate B/A from SUNY Potsdam, 1988 with major in Computer and Information Sciences

That is education, so I'd give it a nickname containing .e
And it's part of my "job search", so I would use a nickname of: .j.e.p
Meaning: Job Search - Education - Potsdam

How about this:

3-time winner of the Shareware Industry Award for Best Utility

That would be .j.h for: Job Search - Honors
I've got others too, so I may nickname them all: .j.h

My work experience at Eastman Kodak would probably be .j.w.k
I have several paragraphs of that, so there would be several with the same nickname, or I may drill deeper if I have different "aspects" of the same years, so that I could recycle the same info differently when applying for a programmer job vs. project manager job.

So anyway, when you are filing out a form, pull up ClipMate and type:
.j
Now you'll be looking at your "job search" clips.
To get the address stuff, add: .a
So now the shortcut is .j.a and you've narrowed down to the address clips. You'll have the same stuff in different formats, and you can just pick what you want. Some sites have separate fields, some want a block of text, whatever. They're all in there, under .j.a

Now they want your career objectives. 80 chars max. So in ClipMate backspace twice to remove .a and then enter .o for "objectives". Now you've got the .j.o clips. You may have several of these, to suit different situations and lengths. You can pick the one that fits.

To actually paste the data, double-click it, or single-click + ENTER, and it's pasted back into the form. Easy!
You can also drag and drop right into the form, if it's in a browser.
