v. 6.5.1.1 w Win XP Pro

Is there a way to automatically empty the trash when shutting down the computer? We had it waaaaaay back in v. 5.

Also, how do I turn off the spell checker? The button is not pressed, but every word is underlined in red and it drives me nuts. How do I send a screnshot?[/b]

It sounds like the speller IS on. Right-click within the editor (not on a wavy word) and turn off the spellchecker from the menu.

Re: trash. No, sorry. The best you can do is set to the trash for 0 days, and set the datbase options to run cleanup at shutdown.
v5 had no trash, btw.

Here's how to e-mail a screenshot. Works in v6.5 or v7.

Thanks. Removed the Spell Check. Whew! It was catching EVERY WORD. BTW--I use Explorer view.

The only option for trash removal is manual emptying in Database command. Trash can has Properties grayed-out in the right-click. How would I define aging?

Database options are backup or empty trash manually, I think.

I just threw out v. 5.2 after 8 buggy years. I'm slow to upgrade. LOL. It DID HAVE a self-emptying Trash at shutdown.

Don't you wish they had made a Help file with Clipmate? Or is "they" Chris Thornton?

There is a help file.
But there's also a dictionary. If the speller is showing every word mis-spelled, it seems that you may have an incomplete installation. A re-install should be in order.
