If I copy something while in say word or notepad, I can select an item to paste into a google doc just fine.

If I copy something while IN a google document, the hyperlink icon shows up in the list of items to paste, because it was copied while in chrome Internet browser.

When I select such an item (with the link icon) to paste into google documents, it is ignored, and what gets pasted is something else, usually the last thing I coped while in google documents.

Anyone know a fix for this?

Thanks tried that, did not work. I get same problem whether I filter or not. Tried it with several different clips.

When it pastes something other than what you were expecting, try pasting into notepad. Did that work? If it did, try pasting into WinWord and see if you get the same thing, or something else. If you get different data (aside from formatting) when pasting into notepad vs word, you may have a frankenstein clip, which can be caused by an app that copies data to the clipboard without erasing it first.
