I knowthat when copying something there is a pop sound from clipmate but I am having the same sound happening on all kinds of other non clipmate programs, mostly when opening a website in my broswers.

I could never figure out where the sound was coming from becasu it is not in any of my sound themes, the sound doesn't even seem to be on my system.... but then I realized it was the same sound that happens when clipmates copied something.

I don't want to lose the sound on clipmate but I would love to lose it for everything else it is happening on.

Any suggestions????

Chris hasn't been seen for some months. All you'll get is user to user support.

Have you tried turning off the sound in Clipmate and seeing if you still here it in other applications?

Or try setting ClipMate to play a different sound and see what happens.

Thanks MK,

Well I guess it is time to look for a new clip manager if Chris has gone AWOL....

I did look in sounds and found that sound that was impossible to find anywhere else.... I disabled it

It was clipboard igorned / rejected clip I hope that stops is

Thanks again

Good luck. A lot of us have been on the same quest.

Mostly Clipmate does just fine. But there is obvious room for progress, beyond bringing it up to date for Vista, let alone Windows 7 and 64-bit.

ClipMate makes the pop sound when it detects new clipboard data arriving on the clipboard. IF it happens when you don't expect it, then something is obviously copying data without your knowledge or consent. This isn't a ClipMate problem.

Another example of this is when I am using a program and I copy something to the clipboard then when I open PhotoShop CS5 I always get 2 or 3 pops from Clipmate and I have noticed that by just opening PhotoShop CS5 clipmate is duplicating the last copied object.

If there is no copied image on the clipboard but text or something else and I open PhotoShop then I get no pops and no duplications

What is up with that??

Chris,
I think it been a while since ClipMate has been updated and it looks to me that you have no intentions of doing so and how it interacts with some of the newer OS and program might be what is happening.

There is no copying going on without my knowledge, as I explained below in this thread this happens when I open Photoshop, why does this happen??

It is something Photoshop is doing. MS Word does the same thing when it is opened...
