Hi, Chris,
Thank for explaining in another post why Clipmate is mostly an as-is product w/ no support these days.
I'm wondering: would you consider the following?
--Create a PayPal (etc.) tipjar and solicit donations from your customer base.
--In a nutshell, the idea could be: "I need to make some money to pay the mortgage. Please consider donating $25 [or whatever] in advance to my development fund. If I reach $n, I will develop a new version of Clipmate."
--You could decide whether or not the money will be returned if you fall short of your goal. Personally, I'd be willing to pay $25/year for one of my most useful programs. I also wouldn't mind a $25 donation to the failed cause of making it worthwhile for you to return to development again.
Well, figured I'd throw it out there and see if you find it interesting or gives you other ideas.
Thanks for a great tool. I've been using it since 2007, but I still don't know how to use [all of] it.
Mike
