Looking Back at 2003
This is the last bit of ClipMate news for 2003, which was a pretty good year for ClipMate. Coming off of the major new 6.0 release, we had two minor releases (6.1 and 6.2), delivering significant new functionality such as Keyword Highlighting, Word Count, Online Backup and Restore, "Magnetic" WinAmp-Style borders, integration of Roget's Thesaurus, and improved support for Visually Impaired users. And we were proud to be honored with our third award for Best Overall Utility at the 13^th Annual Shareware Industry Award banquet, held right here in our hometown of Rochester, NY.

We’d like to announce our latest maintenance release, version 6.2.08. It is available for downloading directly from this link:

This release covers several problems that arose since the initial 6.2 release, including one experimental technology to prevent the accumulation of those annoying little bitmaps that sometimes appear when starting applications that have certain toolbar add-ins. For example, an Adobe Acrobat add-in for Outlook, may cause a little "acrobat" icon to be captured when you start Outlook. This isn’t perfected yet, but it looks promising.
